Communication with patients of dementia and their family members can be extremely difficult. Music is still, to this day, a huge tool in easing stress in those who suffer from dementia:

in this case study with the Design Academy Eindhoven, edible and scented play-dough was created as a tangible and malleable object to build, fill in the voids and create musical connections. Once attached to the 'canvas keyboard' a note can be played to mimic an organ.
